Advisory

CVS Nairn offers a wide range of advisory services ranging from funding through to Charitable status and the make up of constitutions.

Representative

Because of its position as an independent non-topic group, CVS Nairn is viewed and used as a representative of the local voluntary service. Representative roles are usually delivered by both staff and voluntary managers attending meetings, forums or conferences. This role requires that CVS Nairn is fully aware of and sensitive to the needs of the local voluntary sector. The establishment of a bi-monthly news-letter has allowed the CVS office to be aware of and responsive to these issues.

Training

It has long been recognised that capacity building through training is the best way for any organisation to fulfil its main role. Therefore CVS Nairn provides the information on sources of training and it’s availability both locally and outwith the area. In addition, a range of advisory leaflets on the roles of the committee members and office bearers has been written and produced.

Office Services

CVS Nairn delivers a range of office services. These include typing, photocopying, binding, desktop publishing, mailing, laminating and E-mail. These services require, in addition to staff expertise in a wide range of techniques, the possession of appropriate equipment. CVS Nairn is grateful to the Scottish Executive, The Highland Council, The local Enterprise Company and many others for the support which enables us to continue these services.
